Choosing to believe

'Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.'  Rumi

As I begin to write in this blank space that I'm choosing to create for myself....and consciously choosing to express myself freely....I realize that to choose to do something is quite the task.  Choosing something...choosing to believe in something....to believe in oneself...to believe in someone else....to believe....choosing to believe.

As I write these words, I'm reminded of another time in my life when I was trying to choose what to do with my life, I was coming to a point where I had to sit down and choose between one choice or another. I remember sitting down with a very wise woman and she shared her wisdom with me....she said...."my dear....whenever you come to a crossroad in your life, always remember one thing....choose life, choose what brings life to you, choose the things, places, events and people that are life giving to you, because you were meant to live life, to choose life....life in abundance"

I choose to believe in myself, I choose to believe in life, I choose to believe in goodness and most important of all I choose to believe in love....love in abundance.....against all odds and all the barriers that are within myself.....for I am realizing that at the heart of everything that sustains me, that brings life to me, that breathes life into me.... it is pure overflowing love.

What do you choose to believe in?

  1. I believe in friendship, in the commitment of walking with another and others in all that is part of one's life, in the trials, pain and challenges and in the joy, adventure, and fun. I believe in the ultimate of friendships, my relationship with my God. I am so much more of who I am called to be through the friendship of my God and others as I journey through this life. I believe in friendship and I am grateful, "truly blessed and duly grateful."
